Axles – Replacement and Performance Shafts

Axles are a critical component of your drivetrain. Axles Unlimited carries a complete line of stock replacement shafts for light duty trucks, SUV’s, Jeeps and classic cars. We also carry a complete line of performance shafts including Chromoly and shafts with increased spline counts. Cut-to-Fit shafts are available for custom width housings and rare applications. Custom shafts can also be ordered for almost any application. So whether you’re replacing a broken shaft or upgrading to more durable shafts with more splines and  stronger material, we’re here to help!

Stock Replacement Axle Shafts

Stock Replacement Shafts are available in Sierra Gear & Axle, OEM Shafts from Dana Spicer and AAM, and US Made product lines. These axle shafts are made from 1040 and 1541 alloy steel, and are engineered to the same specifications as the original stock shafts in the vehicle. 

Chromoly Performance Axles

Chromoly Performance Shafts are available in the Sierra Gear & Axle product line for high performance use. 4340 Chromoly steel can be hardened to maximize the strength and ductility of an axle shaft. Sierra Gear Chromoly axles are far more durable than standard stock axles. Stock shafts are normally made from 1040 and 1541 steel and are perfectly adequate for stock applications. All Sierra Gear Chromoly axles are backed by our 10 Year Limited Warranty. These axles are available for Jeep, Ford, GM and Dodge applications.

Custom Cut-to-Fit Axle Shafts

Custom Cut-to-Fit shafts are available for Dana 44™, Dana 60™, Ford 9″ and 8.75″ Chrysler applications. These shafts come with splines up to 11″ in length and can be cut to the correct length for hard to find applications or custom-width housings. Most are multi-drilled for different lug patterns.
